Grounded in Water Turkey Bay
After more than three days aground, this sailboat made a remarkable recovery. Three folks showed up on site a bit after 2pm, an hour before high tide. They kedged an anchor attached to the top of the main mast well away from the hull on its listing side, tilting the hull quite far to starboard with its gunwale almost wet, freeing the keel. The three then alternately rocked the hull and pushed it sternward into the channel and after about two hours of back-breaking effort, managed to free it from the shoal and float it away.
