Randi Aldrich, FSO-MS

It has been a busy month in Marine Safety. I have been going to the Marine Safety Detachment (MSD) in Ft Myers every week. While there, I have been training toward my certification for Pollution Investigator, having passed Phase I.  VCDR David Crockwell and I performed inspections of two marinas and a boatyard. I also attended HAZWOPER training at Station FMB.

I have been designated as the Division 9 Marine Safety Training Officer, and this appointment was announced at the last Division meeting. I am currently in the process of creating the training materials for the PQS requirements in Marine Safety.

Sean Hanley is joining the Marine Safety program and is only one course away from receiving his Marine Safety Ribbon. Congratulations, Sean. If you have finished the requirements for the Marine Safety Ribbon and want to start training for Pollution Investigator, please contact Randi Aldrich.
