We held a special celebration at our general meeting on February 16 to honor Betty Riddle for her outstanding service in the U.S. Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary. I would like to mention that Constance Irvin, our SO- PA District 7 Division 9 Officer, helped to organize this event for Betty.
The month of March is filling up with Public Affairs events. Events include a boat show at Bonita Bay Marina, and our Flotilla has been asked to participate in Pelican Isle Yacht Club’s Fleet Review. We will be offering two classes at the Bass Pro Shop on safe boating and GPS for the boating public. I am lining up speaking engagements for our local organizations and associations to promote new members and awareness of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
