I am proud to report that at the end of October we finally reached the 450 count for Vessel Safety Checks this year. We need 66 more to tie last year’s record of 516. With nice boating weather between now and the end of the year we hope more boaters will visit the ramps so we can achieve our goal.
The remaining Vessel Safety Checks for this year are scheduled for Saturday, November 12th and 26th. In December we have one Saturday scheduled so far and that is December 3rd. I am asking all VE certified members to offer to inspect your neighbor’s and friends’ boats. Remember all certified Vessel Examiners must complete at least five Vessel Safety Checks each calendar year to remain certified.
