Randi Aldrich, FSO-MS

Marine Safety is still in full swing. More auxiliarists have stepped up for MS training. Pat McCarn came in from Flotilla 9-10 to work at the MSD. He has been working on Phase I of his Pollution PQS training. Tom McColough (Flotilla 94) is going to Sector St. Petersburg soon to take his IIMS test so he will be qualified for his MS ribbon and be eligible for MSD training. McColough has been in the Auxiliary for 43 years and will be invaluable to the MS department. His qualifications include VE, Coxswain, Watchstander and Instructor.

I finally received my long-awaited Marine Safety ribbon. VCDR David Crockwell, who is also the SO-MS, has assigned me to be his assistant. I am now the ASO-MS for Division 9. Crockwell made this announcement at the Division meeting on June 4th.  Also at the Division meeting, Michael Griffin (Flotilla 92) joined the MS team.  . He only needs to complete his IMSEP course to be eligible for his MS ribbon and begin his MSD training.  For more information about the Marine Safety program, please contact me at randi@randialdrich.com
