In April, Flotilla 96 had patrols out for 10 days with a total of 21 facilities on patrol. On most of those days watchstanders were monitoring at least two vessels. On two occasions we had three vessels on patrol. Mission types were primarily safety patrols and training. However, we did have a couple of facilities conducting ATON verification.
Thanks to our radio watchstanders on duty for April: Shuster, Romanski, Harris, Lattuca, Holsten, Arnal, Morrison and Urbanek.
Our evening TCO training classes are progressing well with all gaining valuable knowledge in accordance with the new qualification requirements. Watchstanders who are already qualified under the former standards are not required to participate in these classes, but those who are attending will be able to serve confidently with the advanced skills they are acquiring. Thanks to Dave Shuster, our VFC, for teaching the classes and to Jim Mayer, FSO-MT, for putting this training plan in motion.
