I attended our division meeting on 11 December 2010. MST2 Anthony Booth (from Station Ft Myers) attended our meeting to talk about the increased push toward Marine Safety. He said their main target is pollution. The station is working toward offering HAZWOPER training for those who would like to take it locally – more to follow later. David Crockwell said, “This was the first time that a gold-side member personally addressed an SO table.” It was an honor to see David Crockwell, our Division SO for Marine Safety, re-elected (second year) and sworn in as Vice Division Commander.
