We have developed a procedure to safely bring
an unconscious or injured person-in-the-water on board. The procedure has been
written up and new photos need to be taken to assist in ongoing training. This ”lift strap” method will become part of
regular training for all on-the-water members.
Telecommunications training ended in March
for Ray Mino, Mike Murphy and Laly Santiago. They are currently in the process
of taking their final exams and will soon be added to the rolls of Telecommunications
qualified watch standers.
Our coxswain candidate has taken the final
practice exam before his Qualification Exam and we are looking forward to
having a new coxswain added to the Flotilla after the QE in April.
We had a one-hour Team Coordination
Training workshop early in the month.
This satisfies the annual requirement for those who participated. A
final session will be offered in November for anyone who did not make this
session.
