Ned Herrmann, Operations

George Stancil and Ed Walters practice rescuing Herman

February was a good month for getting out on the water.  Our boat crews worked on training, safety patrols and the best procedures for retrieving our new man-overboard dummy.
Besides our member and staff meetings we also had a coxswain meeting to cover the man-overboard (MOB) issues.  We also reviewed current operations and held an open-issues session.  It’s now easier to refuel at Station FMB.

February Patrols:  Twelve total, two with Station Fort Myers Beach.  One was side and stern towing from us and from FMB.  The other was stern towing from us and work with Herman the dummy.
Scheduled March Patrols total 15.      Photos by Ned Herrmann
