The first thing I would like to acknowledge is that the Certified Vessel Examiners from Flotilla 96 are the most dedicated VE’s within the Division. We finished the year with a total count of 488 inspections between Vessel Safety Checks and Paddle Craft inspections. Outstanding! Thanks to all the vessel examiners for the many hours they spent performing Vessel Safety Checks in 2011. We helped to educate and promote safe boating and may have saved a life. Remember that the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s primary mission is Recreational Boater Safety. Thanks for a wonderful year.
